In 2015, Cedarome centralized all its operations by moving into one, very large facility in Candiac (Quebec, Canada). As a result, increased efficiency and better lead time have definitely followed suit.
The expansive plant, warehouse, laboratories, and offices cover 122 400 ft2 (11 371 m2).
The secured installations follow strict regulations to ensure controlled quality and fast delivery across borders. Cedarome is proud to have the following certifications:
- C-TPAT (Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism)
- SQF (Safe Quality Food)
It is also a member or a partner with these programs:
- ACS (Air Cargo Security of Transport Canada)
- PIP (Partners In Protection – Private partners with Canada Border Services Agency)
Production installations are comprised of numerous distillation units for isolation, deterpenation and fractioning of essential oils into our different specialized product lines.
Our Quality Control and Research & Development departments house the complete array of equipment:
- The Quality Control department has all the standard automated equipment for the measurement of color, relative density and refraction index, as well as the more advanced technical equipment required for more specialized analysis such as those for agricultural residues.
- The Research & Development department performs gas and liquid phase chromatography and mass spectrometry using state of the art equipment. New R&D laboratories are scheduled to begin construction in Spring 2019, and will add over 5 000 ft2 (464 m2) of customized space for product and process development, with the latest in analytical equipment on its way.

FORMULATION SPECIALIST
Heads the formulation team. Mahdi holds two Masters in Chemistry, one at Université Paris XI and a 2nd Master at École Nationale Supérieure du Pétrole et des Moteurs.

Part of the original cast. Mario started on the floor and more than 30 years later, he is still rallying the troops.
Brigitte Vachon, BSc
QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER
With over 15 years’ experience in Quality Control, Brigitte oversees the QC laboratory.
Audrey Brown
DIRECTOR, QA, COMPLIANCE & CONTINOUS IMPROVEMENT
Holds a Masters in Food Science and Chemistry from McGill University (Montréal). Audrey is our Compliance and Continuous Improvement Specialist.

LEGAL COUNSEL, SPECIAL PROJECTS
Anne holds a bachelor’s degree in law. She works closely on several special projects. Anne is fluent in French, English and Mandarin.

Sarah-Audrey is a purchasing assistant and she tracks the supply of raw materials from suppliers around the world.
